SECAC is a scientific NGO, founded in 1993, that aims to conduct and promote research projects and conservation efforts regarding cetaceans in the Canary Islands.
In the Canary Islands 30 species of cetaceans have been recorded. They are protected by regional, national and european regulations as well as by international conventions approved by the Spanish state.
This research group has a large experience in the field of conservation biology, a discipline that combines research, conservation and management of biodiversity.
